§ SIR HOWARD VINCENT (Sheffield, Central)To ask the Secretary of State for War what arrangements he proposes to make as regards the adjutants and sergeant-instructors on the permanent staff of Militia, Yeomanry, and Volunteer regiments upon their dissolution under the Territorial and Reserve Forces Bill to prevent hardship; and if he will take care that they have at least twelve months notice of any intention to dispense with their services or the equivalent in cash.

I am not at present prepared to state in detail how the officers and noncommissioned officers now serving on the permanent staff of the Auxiliary Forces will be affected under the Bill, but the hon. and gallant Member may rest assured that every consideration possible will be accorded to them.
