§ MR. SMEATONOn behalf of the hon. Member for Roxburghshire, I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland if he will be able to start an early inquiry as to the need of small holdings at New-castleton and other parts of the parish of Castleton, in Liddesdale, in the county of Roxburgh.
§ MR. SINCLAIRIf my hon. friend has in view the exercise by the Agricultural Commissioners of their powers under the Small Landholders (Scotland) Bill now before Parliament, I must ask him to defer such inquiries until a later date.
