To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state the names, ages, religions, and salaries of the resident magistrates at present serving in Ireland.

Fifty of the above gentlemen are Protestants and seventeen are Catholics. In addition to salary, each resident magistrate receives a fixed allowance of £100 a year to meet the expense of travelling on duty within a radius of fifteen miles from his headquarters, and one of £8 a year for postage, stationery, etc.
