§ MR. BOWLES (Lambeth, Norwood)I beg to ask the Postmaster-General I whether there is any rule of the Postal Service with reference to the employment by the Post Office of persons residing on licensed premises; and, if so, whether he can state its effect to the House.
§ THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Sydney Buxton, Tower Hamlets, Poplar)Post Office servants are not allowed to have any part in the ownership or management of licensed premises, but they are not forbidden to reside on such premises, though they are as a rule expected to obtain permission to do so.
