BRIDGEMANI beg to ask the President of the Board of Education if he has received any application from the local education authority for Denbighshire for permission to cease maintaining the church school at Llanychan; and, if so, on what grounds the appplication has been made, and what steps the Board of Education intend to take in the matter.

The authority's application is made on the ground that the school is unnecessary; but, as it was only received yesterday, I cannot yet say what action the Board will take.
