SIR J. HANDLESI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when the remainder of the evidence taken before the Committee on the Eight Hours Bill will be circulated.
§ MR. GLADSTONEThe intention has been to publish the remainder of the evidence with the index, which would be the most convenient plan. The index, however, will not be ready for issue until about the middle of next month, whereas the remainder of the evidence, without the index, could be published early next week. If any general desire for the early publication of the rest of the evidence is brought to my notice I will arrange for it to be issued without waiting for the index.
