§ MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAYI beg to ask the Postmaster-General what decision he has come to with regard to the construction of underground telegraph cables in Scotland.
§ THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. SYDNEY BUXTON, Tower Hamlets, Poplar)As I have already informed the House in the discussion on the Post Office estimates, the underground wire between Glasgow and Edinburgh is being proceeded with. I cannot at present say how far the line can be carried in the present financial year.
