HC Deb 04 June 1907 vol 175 c500
MR. BOTTOMLEY

I bog to ask the Prime Minister whether, in view of the great interest taken by.Members of all Parties in the House in the working of the Street Betting Act, and of the unique opportunity afforded by the Epsom racing carnival of ascertaining in what respects the Act requires amendment or extension, he will consider the desirableness of adjourning the House over Derby Day, and thus afford Members an opportunity in the public interest of studying the matter upon the spot.

MR. ASQUITH (for Sir H. CAMPBELL BANNERMAN)

The Answer is in the negative.
