HC Deb 03 June 1907 vol 175 cc283-4
Dr. AMBROSE (Mayo, W.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is yet in a position to state that the proposed rail- way from Mullaranny, county Mayo, to Belmullet will be commenced in the near future; has a consultation taken place between the engineer to the Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland and the engineer to the Board of Works as to the probable cost of such a railway; and, if so, what was the estimate they arrived at.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I am not in a position to make the statement suggested in the first part of the Question. The consultation between the two engineers referred to has not yet taken place, but has been arranged for an early date.
