HC Deb 25 July 1907 vol 179 c130
SIR GILBERT PARKER

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can now say whether any arrangements exist in existing contracts for the repatriation of labourers who leave the mainland to work in the Islands of St. Thom é and Princip é; and how many labourers have gone to each island respectively.

The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir Edward Grey, Northumberland, Berwick)

I would refer the hon. Member for Gravesend to the Answer given to the hon. Member for Orkney and Shetland on the 9th instant, viz., that the existing regulations contain arrangements for the repatriation of the labourers who go to San Thom é and Princip é. I have no information as to the respective numbers that go to these two islands.
