HC Deb 25 July 1907 vol 179 c129
MR. HOLT (Northumberland, Hexham)

I beg to ask the Undersecretary of State for the Colonies whether any of the self-governing Colonies charge the Imperial Government or their contractors Customs duties on stores, provisions, equipment, or other articles imported into a self-governing Colony for the use of the Naval and Military Forces of the Crown and paid for by the British taxpayers.

MR. HERBERT SAMUEL (for Mr. Churchill)

Exemptions from duty are granted by all the self-governing Colonies on equipment and various other articles imported for the use of His Majesty's Forces.
