§ MR. COURTHOPE (Sussex, Rye)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the defective casting of the rudder of H. M. S. "Edward VII." was inspected by an Admiralty inspector before being built into the ship; and, if so, whether such inspector had practical knowledge of castings.
