Mr. HERBERT (Buckinghamshire, Wycombe)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that a man named Robert Luff, while working upon private lands on 5th July behind the range at Longmoor, Hampshire, was shot in the head; and whether he will cause inquiry to be made into the circumstances and see that precautions are taken to safeguard the public from similar accidents in future.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) No report of this matter has been received in the War Office, but inquiries are being made from the General Officer Commanding concerned.
