HC Deb 08 July 1907 vol 177 c1154
MR. HART-DAVIES (Hackney, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether his attention has been called to the fact that considerable dissatisfaction exists among the military members of the Bombay Political Service owing to comparatively junior members of the Civil Service being placed senior to them on the list; and whether he will take such steps as may remedy the grievance alleged.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Mr. MORLEY, Montrose Burghs)

The proposals of the Government of India for the reorganisation of the Bombay Political Department were sanctioned by the Secretary of State in Council in February last. I understand that effect will very shortly be given to the reorganisation.
