HC Deb 05 July 1907 vol 177 cc976-7
MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the education proposal contained in the Irish Council Bill and the fact that the Government have decided to drop the measure, he can say if, and when, he intends to bring in a Bill to give public control in educational matters.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I am not in a position to make any statement on this subject.
