HC Deb 04 July 1907 vol 177 cc849-50
MR. J. D. WHITE (Dumbartonshire)

To ask the Secretary for Scotland what was taken as the annual value for rating of Ailsa Craig in 1883 when a portion of it was purchased by the Northern Lights Commissioners from the Marquess of Ailsa for £1,550; and what are at present taken as the annual values for rating of that portion and of the rest of the island.

(Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) In 1883 the yearly value in the Valuation Roll was £30. For the current year the Northern Lights Commissioners' property is valued at £100, and the rest of the island at £30.
