§ MR. J. P. FARRELLI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether any progress has been made by the Estates Commissioners towards securing the sale of the O'Brien estate at Cornakelly and Corglass in North Longford, which sale has now been pending for nearly seven years.
§ MR. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners had this estate inspected with a view to purchase last year, but found it necessary to raise certain queries on their inspector's report. They hope to be in a position shortly to make an offer to the Land Judge for the purchase of the estate. They have no information as to the length of time during which the estate may have been for sale.
