MR. NOLAN (Louth, S.)

To ask the Postmaster-General, with reference to his statement to the deputation from the Trade Union Congress on the 23rd February, 1906, that he would investigate the claims for increased payment made on behalf of the adult night messengers, and as the recommendations of the Select Committee are concise regarding the class of adult night messengers, will he state if the recommendations of the Select Committee regarding this class of Post Office servants will be carried out on an early date.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The recommendations of the Select Committee on Post Office Servants are being considered by the Government, and their decision will be announced in due course.
