HC Deb 28 August 1907 vol 182 c437
MR. FIELD

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will explain why no Appropriations-in-Aid for 1907–8 are to be received from the Crown Colonies and Protectorates in respect of the housing accommodation, fire, and light of the Colonial Audit Branch in London; and why such Appropriations-in-Aid have not been received in respect of previous years.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) It has not hitherto been considered necessary to raise any claim against the Colonies and Protectorates for indirect charges of this nature.
