§ MR. FIELDTo ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will state the respective salaries of Messrs. Bunbury, Robinson, and Dixon, of the Exchequer and Audit Department, immediately prior to 1st November, 1905, the length of service of each, and the respective increments due and salaries accorded to them on 1st November, 1905; the respective numbers of Second Division clerks who had between twenty-four and twenty-eight years service, nineteen and twenty-three years service, fourteen and eighteen years service, and eight and thirteen years service on 1st November, 1905, and whose higher division certificates were granted as from that date; and the average salary of each clerk in each group immediately preceding and immediately succeeding that date, showing in each case the average increment due on 1st November, 1905.
(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) I am not prepared to call upon the Department to undertake the preparation of such a statement, the value of which appears in no way commensurate with the labour involved.
