HC Deb 26 August 1907 vol 182 c168
LORD R. CECIL

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education whether he can afford any official assistance to enable the cleaner of the Penrhyndeudraeth voluntary school to recover the 15s. due to her on the 30th June last, and unpaid by the local education authority.

MR. McKENNA

No, Sir; as I have already stated, I have received no complaints from the managers as to the matter referred to, and until any such complaint is received I have no jurisdiction to intervene.

LORD R. CECIL

Is the House to understand that this poor woman has no remedy?

MR. McKENNA

She has no remedy as far as I am concerned.

LORD R. CECIL

What does the right hon. Gentleman propose to do—

* MR. SPEAKER

Order, order. This is becoming like a Court of law.
