HC Deb 26 August 1907 vol 182 c122
MR. MITCHELL-THOMSON (Lanarkshire, N.W.)

To ask the Secretary for Scotland what provision is being made by the Government for the housing of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.

(Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) I cannot concur in the assumption of this Question, viz., that the Government is responsible for the provision of accommodation for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. But I am aware that the society is in correspondence with the Board of Trustees of the National Galleries with reference to the rooms which the society have hitherto rented in the National Portrait Gallery buildings; and I have undertaken to look into the circumstances.
