HC Deb 12 August 1907 vol 180 cc786-7
MR. JOHN MURPHY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners can take any steps to enable the tenants on the Lawlor estate, near Muckross, Killarney, to purchase their holdings, as the remainder of the estate has already been sold.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) No proceedings for the sale of this estate are pending before the Estates Commissioners and they are not aware that any negotiations for purchase are in progress. The case, therefore, does not appear to be one in which they can take any action.
