To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will ascertain from the Commissioners of National Education the number of schools taken into connection since 1903; how many of these schools have or are expected to have an average attendance of between 10 and 20, between 20 and 30, between 30 and 50; and how many above 50.

(Answered by Mr Birrell.) Since 1st. January, 1903, the Commissioners of National Education have taken into connection 83 new schools, classified as follows:—

10 and under 20 27
20 and under 30 21
30 and under 50 10
50 and upwards 25
