HC Deb 06 August 1907 vol 179 cc1837-8
MR. STAVELEY-HILL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether Sir Antony MacDonnell is visiting the West of Ireland in his official capacity; and, if so, with what object.

MR. CHERRY

The Under-Secretary visited the West of Ireland as a member of the Congested Districts Board authorised by the Board to consider with the Board's Chief Land Inspector, Mr. Doran, the question of the purchase, on a large scale, of grass lands for the Board's purposes. The results of Sir Antony MacDonnell's visit will be discussed at the next meeting of the Board on the 9th instant.
