§ MR. LEVERTON HARRIS (Tower Hamlets, Stepney)To ask the Secretary of State for War if he will say for what reason the medal usually given to employees at Woolwich Arsenal who have been in the service of the Crown for twenty-five years has been withheld from V. Chapman and others, who have recently been dismissed and who have worked at Woolwich Arsenal for over twenty-five years.
§ (Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The conditions attached to the grant of this medal are not under the control of the War Office, but I understand that the twenty-five years service must be wholly pensionable. The case referred to cannot be traced.
