§ SIR SAMUEL SCOTTTo ask the Secretary of State for War how many appointments to permanent messenger-ships have been made at the War Office since January, 1906; and what was the occupation of the individual men prior to appointment.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) Three appointments have been made. The men previous to the date of permanent employment were employed as temporary messengers and are all three ex-soldiers.
