To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether, having regard to the claim that more income tax is paid in the counties of Ulster than in the counties of any other province in Ireland, he can issue a statement showing the amount collected in every county in Ireland, and the rate per head of the population in every county.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) No, Sir. As I have already explained, such a statement would be misleading and would not serve the purpose which the hon. Member desires.
