§ June, 1906, he can state, for the purposes of comparison, the population of Scotland in 1841 and the estimated population in 1906.
§ (Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) The population of Scotland, as at the Census of 1841, was 2,620,184, and at the middle of the year (30th June) 1906 was estimated at 4,726,070.
