To ask the Secretary of State for War if he has obtained the consent of Volunteer regiments that their financial liabilities should be transferred from the Public Works Loan Commissioners to the War Office.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The consent of the Volunteer corps was not obtained because it was not in any way necessary. The mortgage deeds mortgage the property to the Public Works Loan Board or to its assignees.
