HC Deb 10 April 1907 vol 172 c231
MR. MACVEAGH

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he can state if at any time subsequent to the appointment of Mr. Williams as Secretary of the Board of Works in Ireland any correspondence passed between him and the Civil Service Commissioners with reference to the religious opinions of clerks appointed to the Board of Works; and, if so, whether he has any objection to lay upon the Table a copy of the correspondence.

MR. RUNCIMAN

The Civil Service Commissioners inform me that they know nothing of any such correspondence.
