ASHLEY (Lancashire, Blackpool)I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether he will take steps to hasten the revision of the clerical staff of the Blackpool Post Office, now two years' overdue, in view of the fact that the staff is the same as it was eight years ago, in spite of the increase of work due to the rapid growth of the town.
§ THE POSTMASTER - GENERAL (Mr. SYDNEY BUXTON,) Tower Hamlets, PoplarA revision of the indoor force at the Blackpool Post Office is in preparation, and will, I hope, be shortly carried out. It is not the case, as suggested by the hon. Member, that the staff has remained stationary for the last eight years, increases having been made from time to time to meet increase of work.
