§ MR. LYNCH (Yorkshire, W.R., Ripon)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether any agreement has been arrived at between His Majesty's Government and that of Russia in relation to Persia: and, if so, whether he is in a position to give the terms of such arrangement.
§ MR. RUNCIMANNo general agreement has been arrived at. The two Governments have discussed the events which have recently happened in Persia, with the object of avoiding any conflict of interest and of acting together when possible to preserve the status qua.
