§ MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have received a memorial from the tenants on the estate of Sir M. R. O'Connell, at Ballycarberry, near Cahirciveen; and whether they are prepared to negotiate with the landlord for the purchase of that property, with a view to reselling it to the tenants.
Mr. BRYCEThe Estates Commissioners inform me that the memorial referred to has been received by them and 315 they have communicated with the owner on the subject. The agents of the owner, however, have informed the Commissioners that no copy of the memorial has been received either by them or the owner, and a copy has therefore been sent to them. The matter is still the subject of correspondence.
