§ MR. RUNCIMANThe Colonial regulation is worded as follows:—"Governors are appointed under the Sign Manual and Signet. Every such person is appointed during his Majesty's pleasure, but his tenure of office is, as a rule, confined to a period of six years from the assumption of his duties."
