HC Deb 19 November 1906 vol 165 cc369-70
MR. MURPHY (Kerry, E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state what steps the Estates Commissioners have taken to deal with the applications of John Reidy and Daniel McCarthy, two evicted tenants in the county Kerry.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Estates Commissioners inform mo that on 20th March last they communicated with the landlord in connection with the applications of John Reidy and Daniel McCarthy for reinstatement as evicted tenants. The landlord replied that he did not wish to part with the holdings, which he has held for twenty years for his own personal use. The Commissioners will further consider the applications of these evicted tenants in connection with the distribution of any untenanted land which they may acquire.
