HC Deb 01 November 1906 vol 163 c1316
MR. WHITEHEAD (Essex, S.E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether the War Office has yet come to a decision on the proposal that fishermen in the district of Shoebury, Southend, and Leigh should be permitted to get cockles and to fish generally over the whole of the foreshore in that district vested in the War Office; and whether any regulations to that end are under consideration.

MR. HALDANE

The War Department has purchased the fishery in question, and the issue of regulations in regard to it is now under consideration.
