I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies which of the Colonies have not yet replied to the request of the Colonial Office to be furnished with the necessary information to enable the Return as to Coolie Labour to be presented to the House in accordance with the Order of February last; and what steps have been taken by the Colonial Office to expedite the furnishing of the required particulars.

Since 29thOctober further information has been received, and the only reply now required is that from the State of Western Australia. All Governments which had not replied within a reasonable time to the despatch which was sent to them on the subject in March last were reminded by telegraph.
