§ MR. O'DOHERTY (Donegal, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the respective claims of Malin Head and Moville, county Donegal, to grants under the Marine Works Act will be promptly considered by the Government.
*MR. BRYCEI am afraid I cannot hold out any hope that a grant under the Marine Works Act will be made for works at either of the places named. I find that a scheme for providing harbour accommodation at Malin Head was originally considered, but it was found that no work of permanent utility could be constructed there owing to the exposed situation, and the funds which would have been available for works at Malin Head were, before I entered office, allocated to other places in county Donegal. Moville is not within a congested district, and is therefore not qualified, in any case, to receive a grant from the Marine Works Fund.
