PICKERSGILL (Bethnal Green, S.W.)To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether any metropolitan boards of guardians were among those with which he recently communicated respecting the closing of their labour yards; if so, will he state the names of those boards; whether before making these communications he had informed himself respecting the state of unemployment in the districts concerned; and whether any of the boards, and, if so, which have closed their labour yards in consequence of his communications.
