To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider the advisability of imposing an additional tax upon motor cars, the proceeds of which should be allocated to reimburse local authorities the cost of watering roads in their districts used for motor traffic, so as to diminish the nuisance from dust.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) Consideration of this suggestion should, I think, be postponed until the Commission which is now sitting has presented its Report.
