HC Deb 16 May 1906 vol 157 c461
CAPTAIN CRAIG (Down, E.)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he can give the number of accidents, fatal and non-fatal respectively, which occurred during the past five years in the shipbuilding, engineering, and flaxspinning industries respectively, in Belfast; and the total amount of compensation paid in respect thereof under the Workmen's Compensation Act.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) I regret that I have not and cannot obtain information as to the total amount of compensation paid in respect of accidents in Belfast in the industries mentioned, nor would it be possible without much time and labour to give the number of accidents in those trades in Belfast alone.
