HC Deb 08 May 1906 vol 156 c1143
MR. J. P. NANNETTI (Dublin, College Green)

To ask the Postmaster-General, having regard to the fact that the experiment of town sorting and stamping by postmen which is now being made in several towns in England has been in successful operation in Dublin for years, if he will be good enough to extend the allowances to all the men performing those duties in that office.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The old system of allowances was abolished in 1897, following the recommendations of the Tweedmouth Committee, but the whole Question is at present under consideration.
