HC Deb 07 May 1906 vol 156 c975
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the German Government has given an assurance that it would not be able to support the Porte on the question at issue respecting the Sinai Peninsula.

MR. RUNCIMAN

We are informed by the German Government that there is no foundation for the statements which have appeared in the Press that the action of the Porte respecting the Egyptian frontier has received any encouragement.
