SMEATON (Stirlingshire)I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether the Lords of the Committee of Council on Education in Scotland have been consulted in the framing of the draft regulations for the training of teachers which are, it is understood, shortly to be laid upon the Table of the House.
§ MR. SINCLAIRThe draft regulations referred to, should they be laid on the Table of the House, will be so laid by the authority and direction, properly signified, of the Lords of the Committee of Council on Education in Scotland.
