HC Deb 29 March 1906 vol 154 c1525
MR. SHEEHAN (Cork Co., Mid)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord- lieutenant of Ireland if he will state when the application was made by John Keeffe, of Bridgetown electoral division of Carrigrohanebeg, Cork rural district, for the additional half-acre; he is aware that it was originally marked on the same field as the original allotment, and that it was subsequently changed into inferior lands some distance away, and will he say at whose instigation was this done; and has the change been approved by the Local Government Board.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The representation in this case was received by the local Government Board in January, 1899. The additional half-acre plot is marked on the deposited map as immediately adjoining and to the north of the existing cottage and plot. The clerk of the council has now informed the Board that no change has since been made, but that the tenant of the? cottage applied for a change, to which the occupier of the land would not -consent.
