§ COLONEL LEGGETo ask the First Commissioner of Works how many workmen are at present employed on the new Government offices at the corner of Great George Street and Parliament Street, and when the buildings will be completed.
(Answered by Mr. Harcourt.) The number of the men employed on the building is 255; at the masons' yard ninety-six, and forty-two joiners at the builders' workshops. There are also a number of carvers. It is anticipated that the buildings will be completed towards the end of 1907.
