HC Deb 27 March 1906 vol 154 c1057
MR. BELLAIRS (Lynn Regis)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether, with the disbandment of the Chinese regiment at Wei-Hai-Wei, any troops whatever will be left there; and whether he can see his way to make any further use for the expenditure of £53,000 incurred at Wei-Hai-Wei on permanent works under Military Works Loan Acts since 1897.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. HALDANE,) Haddington

No troops will be left at Wei-Hai-Wei. I am not in a position to give any reply to the latter part of the Question at the present time.
