HC Deb 26 March 1906 vol 154 cc873-4
MR. SUTHERLAND (Elgin Burghs)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether he is aware that Sheriff Guthrie Smith, in a Supplement to the Report of the Fishery Board for Scotland for the year 1884–5, referred to the precarious tenure of many of the houses of fishermen in the North; whether there has been any subsequent Report; and, if not, whether he is prepared to direct further inquiry to be made on the subject.

MR. SINCLAIR

I have studied the Report mentioned. No subsequent Report has been made, and I will now make further inquiry into the subject.
