HC Deb 26 March 1906 vol 154 cc838-9
MR. NANNETTI (Dublin, College Green)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that there does not exist a class of second-class assistant superintendents in the London postal service, although such a class exists for supervising purposes in the central telegraph office and in the large provincial offices; whether any memorial upon this question has been received from the London staff; and whether he contemplates taking any steps to place the London postal superintending staff upon the same footing as the provincial staffs and the London telegraph staff.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) A memorial on the subject has been received from the London staff and the question has been under consideration, but I do not think I should be justified in settling the matter, pending the Report of the Select Committee on Post Office Servants.
